The ‘Low Battery Report’ is not an exact science, unlike the ‘Roaming Report’……..it normally acts as a warning indicator that the battery is operating outside normal levels and is likely needing replacement within the next 3 months or so
When a label appears on the Low Battery Report, there are 3 parts to this
- Where the status is in green you need to physically check the label at its location and if there is a low battery icon on the top right hand side of the label, it should be changed straight away. Once you have changed the battery over, unlink it then relink it…this will ensure the battery icon is removed and it will be removed from the LBR (normally within 10 – 20 mins)
- Where the status is in red it means the battery needs changing ASAP as it has gotten so low that it can’t respond anymore saying that it is ‘low battery’ and will therefore go into the Roaming Report
- If a label ends up going blank/black with the battery icon showing, this is normally it’s last function on earth, by doing this it doesn’t compromise price integrity, but cannot normally be brought back to life, even by changing the battery, as it will have already gone past the 1st 2 stages, having not been checked
Should a battery fail within the first 2 years of installation, we will replace the battery under warranty. All we ask is that once replaced, please send the same amount of used batteries supplied back to us so we can claim against our supplier.
