When a store has really high roaming or a large number of failed or potentially failed labels then we will often schedule a "One off Label Check" Job.
There are a few Key steps involved with this:
- Arranging the Job with the Client - Discuss with Client after hours day and time to run the job, recommend at least 3 hours.
- Info page 2 in ECC - Make sure the label models in ECC have an info page #2 loaded (usually a tick with "this label is Ok in text).
- Send Info Page to Labels - Refresh all labels so info page is sent to labels
- Load job to switch labels to info page and back.
- Run script to clear roaming.
1. Arranging the Job with the Client
Send information to the client | I understand you are wanting to get on top of the roaming and have concerns that a large number of these are located on the store floor. We can schedule an "One off Label Check" after hours. This is when we send a transmission for all labels to switch to a "Info Page" then staff will need to do a walk through to identify any labels not responding, remove and replace them. This is a timed job, we can schedule for the labels to switch back to the price page after predetermined timeframe, we recommend at least 3 hours. Given that this will take away the price page, we recommend this is run outside of store hours. |
Once the Info pages are added, labels refreshed and jobs loaded send client confirmation of job timeframes. | Hi Team, I can confirm the jobs are scheduled to turn all labels to the 2nd info page at 8:15PM 12/08/2025 and back to the price page at 6am the following morning. The labels will look as follows: ![]() ![]() If during this time there is a label still displaying the price page. remove this label from the floor and follow the roaming process. Please call me on 027 301 2230 if there are any issues during this time period. Once you have completed your sweep of the store please let me know as we will run a script to clear your current roaming so you can start fresh. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks, Amanda |
2. Info page 2 in ECC
If info page #2 not already loaded against model in ECC. Then add new info page, make sure its page 2 | ![]() |
Add an image, the tick - Red Tick.png and a text Box "This Label is Ok" Save. | ![]() |
TIP: If ECC option to add a info page is grey'ed out then follow this process. | To be able to use all 3 pages you need in ECC (Settings -> Preload Settings) uncheck the Preload Active for each label.![]() |
3. Send Info Page to Labels
In Pricer, you need to refresh labels. Pricer > System Administration > Advanced >Update ESLs - Refresh | ![]() |
4. Load job to switch labels to info page and back.
